S-23 for Singapore Art Week 2023

At the amphitheatre of LASALLE College of the Arts, The Artists Village created a site-specific work inspired by the former S11 kopitiam outlet in front of the old National Library Building. To build on the kopitiam’s traditional social functions, S23 is a re-creation of a public area where relationships between people are kept non-hierarchical and strangers are encouraged to participate in public performances organised by the collective’s members and invited artists.
